WELCOME TO THE CITY OF TRUMAN CAMPGROUND

The Truman campground , located adjacent to the city pool, is available for visitors to rent sites.  See below to make reservations on-line.  The campground includes electricity, water, and a dump station.  Restrooms and new showers are available at the city swimming pool next door to the campgrounds.  Contact city hall for more information.

Reservation Guidelines
Dependent on weather conditions restrooms, shower and site access to water may not be available from October through April. Please call City Hall for details.

Storm Shelter Disclaimer 
Truman’s campground does not have designated storm shelters and you are camping at your own risk.  Restrooms may offer protection but are not storm shelters.  In the event of severe weather please seek shelter. It is your responsibility to stay informed and have a safety plan in place to protect yourself and your family from severe weather threats.

We want to make your stay both pleasant and comfortable. If you need any information,
please feel free to inquire at City Hall 202 W Ciro St. 507-776-7951 during business
hours.
Reservations may be canceled or terminated by the City at any time without notice
when:
- A state of emergency has been declared.
- For health and safety purposes.
- Natural or civil disturbances, including but not limited to floods, earthquakes, storms,
   riots, demonstrations, and when employee strikes occur or threaten to occur.
- If violation of the rules or conditions contained in the reservation or any applicable
   Federal, State and County laws, ordinances, rules and/or regulations occur.
- Required fees are not paid.

Campground Policy
Rates and policies are subject to change at any time.
Permit provided must be posted at your site at all times.
One camper per site. Additional campers sharing a site must all pay fee.

Cancellation: If your travel plans change and you must cancel your reservation, please
call us prior to your arrival date. A forfeiture of the first night's use will apply.
Cancellations for a one-night reservation will forfeit the entire amount paid.
It shall be a violation of the Campground Policy for any person to:
• camp without a reservation
• cause, create or make any noise which disturbs the peace, quiet and tranquility
   of the camping area.
• discharge water or any other waste except into designated containers, drains or

Dumping stations.
• camp if under the age of 18 years unless accompanied by and in the presence of
   a parent or guardian, unless with prior approval, and such camping is part of an
   organized group with adequate adult supervision.
• use threatening, abusive, insulting, or obscene language, or to act in an
   indecent manner, or to do any act which constitutes a breach of the public peace.
• to use or possess glass beverage containers.
• disturb, harass, or interfere with any campground visitor or their property.
• deposit, scatter, drop or abandon any bottles, cans, broken glass, sewage,
   waste, or other material, except in receptacles provided for such purposes.
• start a fire, except a small fire in a designated fire ring or fail to fully extinguish
   such a fire.
• drop, throw, or otherwise leave unattended lighted matches, burning cigars,
   cigarettes, tobacco, paper or other combustible material.
• sell, solicit, or carry on any business or commercial enterprise or service, unless
   authorized by the City Council in writing.

Animals
• Animals must always be kept on a leash no longer than six feet and may not be
   left unattended at the campsite.
• Owners are responsible to pick up and properly dispose of the refuse left by any
   pet under the person's control.
• Owners must not allow animals to deprive or disrupt the enjoyment of use of any
   area by other persons.

Children
• Parents are always responsible for their children’s safety and behavior. Please
   supervise small children in showers and restrooms, and do not allow children to play in
   the roadway.
In case of an emergency, call 911. You may find shelter in the campground restrooms.
If you have non-emergency concerns, call the Law Enforcement Center at 507-238-
4481.
Help keep the campground clean by depositing all garbage in the dumpsters located
throughout the campground.
Violation of this Policy may result in removal from the campground and potential
additional charges.
